The referenced illustration was created in 1924, and this postcard design is a modernized version of it. The text at the bottom right says “Es Selamu Aleikum” which means “Peace be with you” in Arabic. The illustration features pumpkins surrounding a young middle eastern witch riding on a broomstick with her black cat in tow.
